“Evolution” 252 × 522 cm oil on canvas 2008

evolution – cm 252×522 oil on canva, 2008

The canvas develops the theme of vital evolution on which the artist Cristina Cocco has been working for years. His research begins with the methodical observation of the large water lilies Victoria cruziana and Euryale ferox of the Botanical Garden of Padua. In the work “evolution” we witness the mutation of the same in horizontal chromatic trails with high intensity of flow and light frequency. The figurative allusion melts into the chromatic flow with dynamic blur effects.

Inauguration: tuesday 21st june 2011, at 5 pm.
Where: Villa Contarini, Piazzola sul Brenta, Padua.
Curated by: Vittorio Sgarbi.
