Project Description

Preview of the First Work

“Preview of Opera Prima” stages surreal exploded circles in the aquatic world of the water lily pond of the Botanical Garden of Padua, in a suggestive surreal dimension that places at the center of the process of “evolution” the holes where water lilies are born, get sick and die.

The fruition of Cristina Cocco’s works is both highly rewarding and pleasant to the eye thanks to their great pictorial qualities. In her paintings, the viewer can find the colour of emotions, which dissolve in the brushstroke sign and in the descriptive power of the colour, giving vitality and movement to the pictorial rendering. The highly evocative atmospheres that the artist creates are a sign of her uncommon talent and of her great technical skills, which are an expression of her long-time experience. Through her images, the artist proposes to the viewer’s eye the reflection of her emotions and, above all, a refined use of an engaging, original technique.

PROJECT “PREVIEW OF THE FIRST WORK”

THE HOLES IN WHICH THE NYMPHS GET SICK AND DIE

“Preview of Opera Prima” stages, in a surreal dimension, the pond of the Euryale ferox present in the Botanical Garden of Padua. These are exploded circles in the aquatic world of water lilies that place the holes in which water lilies get sick and slowly die at the center of the process of “evolution”. The color, escaping from the holes that pierce the water lilies during the decay phase, undoes the shape to allow a new regeneration.
